چکیده

Combination chemotherapy is widely exploited to overcome multidrug resistance (MDR) and enhance the therapeutic effect of anti-tumor agents clinically. The traditional combination regimens applied in clinical practice still suffer from various obstacles, such as inevitable side effects. Fortunately, application nanotechnology proposal co-delivery systems make therapy more effective. occurrence, development, metastasis tumors are closely related cell cycle. sensitivity tumor cells chemotherapeutic drugs can be improved with cooperation cycle regulators. In this review, influence on tumorigenesis development introduced briefly. current strategies combining regulators through discussed detail. We also sketch possibility treating mildly via artificially controlling outline challenges perspectives about improvement for cancer therapy.

Recent advances in nanoformulations for co-delivery of curcumin and chemotherapeutic drugs

The application of chemotherapy in cancer treatment has been limited due to cause side effects such as toxicity against normal cells and drug resistance. In recent years, numerous studies have been focused on using natural products with chemotherapeutic drugs to enhance therapeutic efficiency and reduce cytotoxicity. On the other hand, encapsulation of drugs into nanoparticles (NPs) can improve...

Nanocarrier-mediated co-delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs and gene agents for cancer treatment

The efficacy of chemotherapeutic drug in cancer treatment is often hampered by drug resistance of tumor cells, which is usually caused by abnormal gene expression. RNA interference mediated by siRNA and miRNA can selectively knock down the carcinogenic genes by targeting specific mRNAs. Therefore, combining chemotherapeutic drugs with gene agents could be a promising strategy for cancer therapy...

Co-delivery of siRNA and therapeutic agents using nanocarriers to overcome cancer resistance.

There are two main mechanisms by which cells become multidrug resistant (MDR): by increasing drug efflux pumps on the cell membrane and by increasing anti-apoptotic pathways. The use of nanotechnology to develop nanodelivery systems has allowed researchers to overcome limitations of antineoplastic drugs by increasing the solubility of the drug and decreasing the toxicity to healthy tissues. By ...

Advances in mesoporous silica-based nanocarriers for co-delivery and combination therapy against cancer.

INTRODUCTION Nanocarriers have emerged as a powerful alternative for cancer therapy. Indeed, they are promising candidates to tackle the acquired resistance of surviving cells against antiproliferative drugs - the so-called multidrug resistance (MDR) phenomenon - which has arisen as one of the major clinical issues of chemotherapy. Among nanocarriers, this review focuses on the recent approache...
